Argh, I can't stand it anymore! This is just too frustrating!
It all started during my Nov/Dec semester break, when I asked my brother to teach me to format my laptop. He did format my laptop, though he took it up to Ipoh with him for a good three weeks (can you imagine? I had to survive without astro, gameboy/PS3/etc, and laptop for three whole weeks of my semester break) and when he brought it back, my laptop was pretty much a useless junk.
My laptop was devoid of any installers (is that the correct word? God, I'm such an IT noob) so it can't play any music, videos, and it can't be connected to the internet. But it wasn't such a big problem because I managed to install everything.
And then I realised that the Windows program that my brother installed is... somewhat corrupted. I mean, usually the pirated version works just fine as long as you don't update your Windows. But this time... there were lots of problems...
What problems, you ask? Well, for one...

... I can't install a kickass antivirus because it'll detect my ciplak (fake) Windows as a hack and delete it. So right now I'm only using Ad-Aware, a spyware antivirus and NO PROPER ANTIVIRUS WHATSOEVER. I'm amazed my laptop didn't infect any lethal virus and died yet.
... I can't use Windows Live Messenger because I can't update my Windows Messenger (which I suspect has something to do with the fact that my Windows XP is an incomplete, pirated version) Because of this, I had to use email to send files and pictures because I can't send files through MSN (it only works with some people, I don't know why.), I can't nudge anyone (nor can they nudge me), NO EMOTICONS WTF, no sending offline messages, the list goes on...
... I can't watch most of the audio/video formats other than mp3, mp4, wmv, flv, and mpg. Can you imagine that??! I CAN'T WATCH AVI FORMAT VIDEOS!! *foams in mouth* Thank God for video converters, I tell ya.
... I can't install or use certain programs, again because of my useless fake Windows - OMFG NO MEDIA PLAYER CLASSIC, NO JAVA, NO LIMEWIRE =.=
I can *somewhat* bear with all the problems stated above because... well, I don't know why I have not told my family about it. Afterall, they promised to get me a new laptop once I entered my final year in degree. My final year went by and I graduated.
Still no new laptop in sight until now. I should've learnt by now not to trust my parents when it comes to matters that involves more than 50 500 ringgit.
I guess that there's no point in me getting a new laptop, seeing as how my laptop is "still running" eventhough it gives out enough heat to roast a chicken and makes enough noise to wake the dead.
Okay, I'm exaggerating. But you know what I mean.
Which is why it gets extremely frustrating when I encounter problems which I know I don't need to face if I'm using a new or at least a fully functional Windows.
I'm too tired of these nonsense to explain so to cut it short, editing my blog HTML settings (which used to be bearable last time) is just so head banging, hair pulling troublesome and frustrating! I'm guessing because I don't have Javascript...? I don't know!! *shrugs*
Which explains why I'm temporarily using this black basic template. Yeah I don't even know what happened to my previous template, that's how fucked up it got while I was tweaking the HTML. I didn't bother to copy and paste the old template I had because I intend to get the new template fully up by tomorrow (hopefully)
For now, let me get some sleep and pray that I won't throw my laptop out of my balcony out of frustration tomorrow.
